Message from the Academic Dean

Dr Todoki academic DeanWelcome  to the World Medicine Institute, a school of acupuncture and oriental medicine. We are committed to presenting information over the Internet about the institute and its philosophy, curriculum, class schedules, tuition and fees. However, the Internet does not replace the excitement and real truth of the traditional ancient wisdom demonstrated in our teachings. As a student at the institute we think you will experience this as you learn and study along with fellow students. We also think you will see this in clinical acupuncture training where you will experience acupuncture, herbal medicine, and qigong therapies. You will live this truth on trips to China and on field trips to the mountains of Hawaii to collect and identify fresh herbs. Our teachings are living proof that the ancient wisdom works in a modern society.

At the World Medicine Institute Clinic, we treat more than 100 patients each week, proving the effectiveness of acupuncture. As an intern in our acupuncture clinic, you will be impressed at the quality of our patient care; our records of successful treatment results will inspire you to become a great healer yourself. Through the one-on-one experience of our clinical training program, you will experience all the joys and pains of real life when you see suffering patients break out in smiles.

Dr Todoki academic DeanWe encourage academic achievement as well as practical comprehensive skills. Students are taught treatment techniques as well as professionalism. We encourage students to have a positive self-image, to be enthusiastic in helping the community, and to be spiritual, kind, and responsible citizens. The program is designed to meet the many needs of our students. With a smaller student body, a warm, nurturing family atmosphere is felt throughout the school. Each student has the opportunity to be heard and helped.

The institute is located in a quiet neighborhood of churches and homes. In our temple you will find that a valuable spiritual atmosphere is encouraged throughout. It has a big kitchen, a library for studying, and a large practice hall. The clinic is conveniently located in the University area close to libraries and parks. Both the clinic and school are less than a 15 minute drive from town and each other. If you have any questions or want to request acupuncture school application materials, please give me a call.

Thank you for your interest and inquiry!

Gayle Todoki
